Tulsa is the destination for daylily enthusiast, horticulturalist, master gardeners, gardens designers and all of us that enjoy beautiful landscapes. The event is one that you do not want to miss. Bring your cameras, spouse, friends and family and enjoy the experience to the maximum. The Tulsa Area Daylily Society presents Landscaping with Daylilies.
There will be 7 wonderful gardens on the tour, all of which are uniquely different and equally fantastic. Ranging from a small back yard nursery and hybridizing garden to large acreage garden estates. There will be cottage gardens, natural gardens, pool gardens and water gardens. The Saturday tour will be finalized with a delicious meal on the grounds of Sanders Nursery (Tulsa’s largest plant and tree nursery).
Register early for drawings of free daylilies. Three 2013 introductions will be given to the winners of the early registrations. One drawing will include the first 25 registrants. Another will be for the first 50 (excluding the winner from the first 25), and a third will be for the first 75 (excluding the winners from the first 25 and the first 50).
The fabulous auction will include over 100 of the finest daylilies by nationally known hybridizers. Nikki Schmith will be the auctioneer and the individual spending the most money in the auction will get an outstanding daylily free. The highest bidder will have naming rights for a beautiful red seedling with gold teeth.
The keynote speaker will be Curt Hanson of Critonic Gardens and many of Curt’s daylilies will be in the auction and on the Bargain Table. Nikki Schmith will be teaching Exhibition Judging 11 and Linda Farris will be teaching Garden Judging Workshop 11. Andrea Weaver, photographer par excellence, will teach us her tips and tricks.
An outstanding Boutique is planned. Come early and stay late and enjoy Gilcrease Museum and Gardens, Philbrook Museum and Gardens, and Tulsa Garden Center and Linnaeus Gardens.
